Innocent Wishes
We were all once children with a clean and pure heart wishing for things that we might not remember when we get older. Those wishes might be as simple as :
“I wish I could fly”
“I wish I could go to disney land”
“I wish to go fishing with my dad”
“I wish that people didn’t fight”
“I just wish for my mom to be happy”
Those little wishes are coming from a true clean heart that only knows love and passion towards everyone. The most annoying part is that as we grow older we start to realize that life might not make all our wishes come true. We have to work for our wishes to become true.
Wish Myths
The wish flower is one of many wish related myths that cultures treasure and pass to their children and grand children. A wish is usually tightly related to hope. Hope is something that keeps us going in life with all its troubles. Cultures developed those wish myths to lean on hope when all other tracks of life failed.
Hope is a last resort and should not be given our first priority to achieve our goals and ambitions or as we dream “Our Wishes”. Don’t be disappointed or discouraged, since many people have much longer experience that we might have and can give it to you in a five minute chat or in this blog for others to learn.
Occasional Wishes
Many people in the world teach their children to wish for material presents and convince them that those wishes will come true through some imaginary person who will make their wish come true.
A great example is the Christmas wish list. Most children grow up dreaming of Santa bringing them presents and making their wishes come true. This can give them too much hope in life and teach them to under estimate what life might charge them for their wishes when they grow older.
